The dates are September 25-27, 2009 and it will be held at Dan Cook's farm. What we are planning is an advancement type camporee with a First Year Scout "Academy" and offering several merit badges with the hopes that most, if not all, requirements can be finished during Saturday. The list of merit badges that we are planning on offering follows. If you have any that you would like to add to the list, and help staff, please email me what you would like to see added. If you have any adults who would like to help teach a merit badge send me the name and what badge they are interested in helping. We are working hard to get the finished camporee book to you before the August Roundtable. The finalized list of merit badges will be in your hand by the August Roundtable.
We would like each scout First Class and above to sign up for one merit badge for the day and list 3 alternates. We are working toward a class size of no more than 10 scout for each merit badge. I will be emailing out a registration form that you may duplicate for you scouts. We should also have on-line registration set up on the Tuckaleechee District Website. If you don't register on line we will need you to bring your scouts' registration forms to Broadway Methodist Church on Thursday, September 10 at 7:00 pm. Please have your scouts print legibly.
